Rotary Club of Edjeba has renovated and equipped the maternity and labour ward of Pessu primary health center ,Warri in Warri South local government area of Delta State.
Speaking during the inauguration of the health care center, Rotary International District 9141 Governor Rotarian Anthony Woghiren commended Rotary club of Edjeba for the gesture .
Rotarian Woghiren stated that Rotary clubs will continue to compliment Government efforts in ensuring that the people of their mandate areas have quality health care especially the mother and child.
The District Governor who was represented by Assistant District Governor zone 8 Rotarian Franklin Ote commended the club for the gesture.
He advised the management of the center to maintain the facility in order to give room for more support from Rotary Club of Edjeba.
Inaugurating the renovated and equipped Pessu primary health care center by Rotary Club of Edjeba the chairman of Warri South local government, Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro thanked the club for gesture and pray that God will continue to provide more funds for members of the club to enable them continue to serve humanity.
He noted that Rotary Clubs have been complimenting the efforts of Government in providing quality health care for people in their mandate areas .
Earlier the president of Rotary Club of Edjeba Rotarian Ifolochukwuka Okonkwo stated that they decided to renovate and equipped Pessu primary health care center after they found out that the center lacks some necessary facilities .
Rotarian Okonkwo who was represented by the club’s Vice President Rotarian Sunny Oveisi stated that the renovation and equipping of the center was done by the club in collaboration with Richvalue Realtor and Knotswap Energy Company.
Rotarian Okonkwo stated that the club will embark on more projects in its mandate areas and called on the management of the center to take care of the facility.
Also speaking a member of the club and an assistant District Governor zone 6 Rotarian Nicholas Otobor stated that the project executed was in line with one of the seven areas of focus of Rotary which is the maternal and child health care .
The matron of the center and the councillor representing Pessu ward commended Rotary club of Edjeba for the gesture .
