Rotary club of Effurun District 9141 on Saturday installed Rotarian Florence Chukwuebuni as the 40th president of the club .
Rotarian Chukwuebuni is the second female president of the Rotary Club of Effurun.
Our Correspondent Reports that Rotary Club of Effurun earmarked 12.6 million naira projects for the 2024/2025 Rotary year.
Rotarian Florence Chukwuebuni shortly after being installed as the 40th President of Rotary Club of Effurun District 9141 stated that
Rotary Club of Effurun over the years has made great impact through sustainable project in serving humanity in line with the Rotary international 7 areas of focus.
She added that the club during the last Rotary year donated Delivery kits and equipped the maternity ward of Ekpan General Hospital in collaboration with other clubs, adding that the club also embarked on projects in the areas of Disease Prevention and Cure,
Basic Education and Literacy,
Water and Sanitation Hygiene, Community/Economic Development,Peace Building and Conflict Resolution as well as Environmental Protection.
Rotarian Florence Chukwuebuni disclosed that the club would continue to make meaningful impact through sustainable projects.
She revealed that the club under her leadership will be executing projects including the Donation of Delivery kits at the sum of one point four million naira to indigenous pregnant women and organizing a health talk , empowering And supporting 10 Petty traders with the sum of one hundred thousand naira each ,free youths training for Vocational Skills at the Rotary club of Effurun Vocational Training centre Ebrumede with the sum of two point five million naira ,Distribution of Mosquito nets and free anti Malaria Drugs with the sum of five hundred thousand naira,Provision of potable water borehole in two communities within uvwie amongst others.
The newly installed President Rotarian Florence Chukwuebuni appealed to Rotarians and friends of Rotarians to contribute generously towards the actualization of the projects inorder to touch the lives of the needy in the society and put smiles on the faces of indigent pupils and students in the society.
Earlier the immediate past President of Rotary Club of Effurun, Rotarian Clement Siakpere thanked Members of the club for their contributions to humanity and for supporting him during his tenure as President .
Rotarian Siakpere who was represented by a Past President of the club ,Rotarian Godwin Oniyama said members of the club have done well in contributing to humanity.
Also speaking the installation committee chairman, Rotarian Elvis Irefo welcomed guests and Rotarians from other clubs for attending the event.
He also called for support to the newly installed President inorder for her to actualize the club’s target to execute the projects for the year 2024/2025..
Rotarian Ikenna Ogbona in his lecture appealed to Guests and Rotarians present at the occasion to support the club by contributing to the successful execution of the projects .
The Installation of the 40th President of Rotary Club of Effurun featured Inauguration of the board members , donation towards club community service projects,handover of clubs chartered certificate ,Gavel and insignia to the newly installed President, presentation of awards and presentation of cheques to micro credit loan beneficiaries.
