In a bid to curb maternal and child mortality Rotary club of Osubi has donated Delivery kits to Pregnant women at Osubi healthcare center Okpe local Government area of Delta State.
The President of the club Rotarian malik Abubakar while Presenting the items to the pregnant women numbering over 40 appealed to them to adhere to Medical advice inorder to have a safe delivery.
Rotarian Abubakar while addressing the expectant mothers told them that the donation of the delivery kits to them is in line with one of the seven areas of focus of Rotary international which is maternal and child health care .

Rotarian Abubakar noted that the initiative is aimed at reducing maternal and child mortality rates by providing essential supplies to expectant mothers, particularly those who may not have the financial means to afford them.
He stated that Rotary club of Osubi had over the years supported indigent families by donating the delivery kits which includes
gloves, disposable mackintosh mucus extractors , disinfectant amongst others.
President of Rotary club of Osubi , Rotarian Malik Abubakar said Rotary is continuous and there are other projects planned for the remaining months to include basic education and literacy ,adding that the club would be donating books to pupils and students of some of schools in their mandate areas .
Also speaking the immediate Past President, Rotarian Gloria Omamogho, Past President and Project Chairman, Rotarian Ighodalo Akpasubi, Past President Rotarian Chike Okamelu, Past Assistant District Governor,Rotarian kehinde Omo Oisemaye amongst others explained that the project, which aligned with Rotary’s designated month for maternal and child health, aims to provide essential support to expectant mothers and new babies.
The matron of Osubi primary health care center represented by Mr Precious Ugbegene and some of the pregnant women thanked Rotary club of Osubi for the gesture.
Rotary club of Osubi also donated Diapers for old women to the Osubi primary health care center.
