President of Rotary Club of Warri Central Rotarian Isioma Uwagbai presenting uniform to a pupil

Determined to ensure that children with special needs enjoy the comfort like children in regular schools,Rotary club of Warri Central has donated school uniforms to all students of Alderstown special school Warri .

Presenting the uniforms,the president of the club Rotarian Isioma Uwagbai stated that the gesture was to assist parents in reducing the burden of buying new uniforms especially in this present economic challenges in the country

Rotarian Uwagbai revealed to the students that the gesture was inline with one of Rotary’s international seven areas of focus which is Basic Education and Literacy.

Rotarian Uwagbai advised the pupils to take care of the uniforms so that when next the club visit they would donate another items to improve their learning.

He Commended the teachers and staff of the school for taking good care of the pupils .

For her part the project chairperson, Rotarian Efe Tobrise disclosed that Rotary Club of Warri Central had donated school bags to the pupils to encourage learning and would continue to assist the special pupils in order to shaping their future .

The head teacher of Alderstown special school Warri Mrs Joy Boyo thanked Rotary club of Warri Central for the donation of school bags to all the pupils in the school.

She urged other humanitarian organisations to emulate the club, adding that Government alone can not meet the needs of the special school .

The pupils presented songs with signs to thank Rotary Club of Warri Central for the gesture.


The event was a vibrant showcase of community spirit, educational support and student talent.
