Rotary Clubs of Bendel Estate, Warri,Ekpan Donate Pregnant kits To Thirty Women in Warri

Thirty pregnant women on Tuesday received Delivery kits courtesy Rotary clubs of Bendel Estate , Warri and Ekpan .

Our Correspondent Reports that the expectant women were full of joy as they never expected the gesture especially at this present harsh economy.


During the presentation of the delivery kits to the pregnant women a Past District Governor
Rotarian Ikponmwosa Ogiemudia said mother and child Heath care is key to Rotary,stressing that Rotary is determined to curb the rate of child mortality.

He advised the pregnant women to keep to their daily medical routine inorder for them and their babies to be healthy.


Also speaking Presidents of Rotary Clubs of Warri,Bendel Estate and Ekpan , Rotarians Regina Edukugho, Stellamaris Duru and Adagba Adagba disclosed the clubs decided to present delivery kits to the pregnant women to assist them especially the indigent pregnant women who could not afford to purchase the items .

They said the donation is in line with one of Rotary’s international seven areas of focus which is maternal and child health care.

The Presidents urged the pregnant women to yield to the advise given by medical professionals even as they highlighted the danger of seeking alternatives from quacks.

The Presidents of Rotary clubs of Warri ,Bendel Estate and Ekpan, Rotarians Regina Edukugho, Stellamaris Duru and Adagba Adagba added that the clubs will continue to provide help to the needy inorder to put smiles on their faces.

The Matron of Ugboroke health center Mrs Patience Ugane and one of the beneficiaries Mrs Vivian macurley thanked Rotary clubs of Bendel Estate ,Warri and Ekpan for the gesture .


They prayed God to provide more funds to them so as to enable them carryout their humanitarian work.
