Full Member of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, NIIA, and Distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management, CIISM, Olorogun Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, has been nominated in the top class category for the prestigious Award of “The Best Performing Media Personality in Political Communication Strategy and Media Politics, by Abuja based Top Flyers Magazine.
Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Top Flyers Magazine, Musa Yahaya, in a statement on Friday, and made available to newsmen in Abuja, said the Award which is the 11th edition and powered by several corporate entities and Zenith Bank Plc, shall take place at the prestigious Abuja Continental Hotel (formerly Sheraton Hotels) on Saturday August 26, with the Theme; “Reaching For Greater Heights.”
He further disclosed that the event is designed to honour Topflyers who have distinguished themselves through dint of hard work and dedication to professional careers, and to utilize their stories to motivate other aspiring professionals, especially our bubbling youths across Nigeria and beyond.
Yahaya listed other Awardees to include; the Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, multiple award winning boxer, Bash Ali, Senior Prophet Omoto Fufeyin, Chief Owen Obaseki, and an Abuja based Legal practitioner, politician and businessman, Barrister Ken Imasuagbon, aka Mr Rice. He’s a 2024 governorship aspirant under the Labour Party in Edo State, as well as several other eminent personalities and top class professionals in various fields of human endeavour.
“Oghenesivbe nomination is largely connected to his widely acknowledged accomplishments in the fast growing field of Media Politics and political communications, as well as his unique creative and result oriented writing skills over the last two decades, and most especially in the just concluded general elections in Nigeria.
“We found Oghenesivbe to be a worthy professional in Communication Strategy, and deserves a special place in Top Flyers 2023 Media Hall of Fame Platform, hence his nomination for the ‘Best Performing Media Personality in Political Communication Strategy and Media Politics Category,’ Yahaya said
Oghenesivbe, born on May 16, 1962, happens to be a Bull and Emerald Precious Stone Native, uniquely engulfed in Sapphire Birthstone.
He hails from Kokori in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, South-South Nigeria. He was the Director of Media and Political Communications to the 2015 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Olorogun Otega Emerhor, and served the immediate past governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as Executive Assistant on Communications, from April 3, 2017 to May 29, 2023, a period of six years of blazing the trail in the media space.
The Top Flyers Magazine nominee, Oghenesivbe, was also the Assistant Director of Media and Publicity of Delta Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and official spokesperson in the just concluded 2023 general elections, where he played significant and result oriented roles in marketing the M.O.R.E Agenda of the PDP governorship candidate, Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, now the Executive Governor of Delta State, among other notable accomplishments.
Oghenesivbe holds Professional Doctorate Degrees in Information and Strategy Management, from the Liberal Billingual University of Togo, Doctorate Degree in Literature from Berkeley University, USA, Master Degree in Public and International Affairs, MPIA, from the University of Lagos, Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos.
Other academic qualifications includes; Master Degree in Mass Communication in-view, University of Lagos, Law Degree from the University of Lagos, Barrister-at Law professional Postgraduate Education of the Nigerian Law School/Nigerian Council of Legal Education, Political Science Degree from Enugu State University of Science & Technology, ESUT, Diploma in Public Administration from the University of Benin, Call to Bar Certificate from the Body of Bencher in Nigeria, a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Justice of the Peace, JP, et al.
He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management, Dfcism; Fellow, Civilian Institute of Democratic Administration, Fcida; Full Member, Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, NIIA; Member, International Communication Association, M.ica; Member, American Political Science Association, M.apsa; Member, International Political Science Association, M.ipsa; Members, Nigeria Bar Association, NBA; Past Club Secretary and Past Vice President of Rotary Club of Akowonjo, District 9110; and members of several other professional bodies and social clubs.
Oghenesivbe is married to Esther, and they are blessed with Children.
