The Unuovwodo ( tradititioal representative of Ovie of Agbarha Warri ) of Ogunu Community Warri South Local Government Area, High Chief ( Sir ) Syvelster Udi ,JP has appreciated former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori over the construction of the ongoing massive road and drainage projects in the ancient Agbarha Warri community.
He made the appreciation in a media interaction with newsmen in Ogunu on Wednesday 2nd August, 2023.
Udi expressed optimism that the projects when completed would make the host community to SPDC and other multi national companies easily accessible.
He also noted that it was former Governor Okowa ‘ s administration that gave a positive response to Ogunu Community ‘ s several appeals for the rehabilitation of the extreme deplorable road and construction of drainage.
Udi further acknowledged the role played by Governor Oborevwori on the approval of the projects while he was the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly.
He used the opportunity of the media chat to appeal to Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for the continuous patronage of Delta State Government as he said that they were numerous developmental projects that needed assistance both from government, corporate bodies and well meaning individuals.
The Agbarha Warri chief proudly disclosed that the executive committee of the community had earlier written an appreciation letter to Delta State Government on the projects
The road and drainage projects are over 2 kilometres long . It was gathered the projects were started on the 1st of. July, 2023
