The Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni JP, has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his 63rd birth anniversary, commending the governor for leading “an exemplary life of impact and service” that has inspired many across the state.
In a statement issued Friday, June 19, 2026, Chief Ofoni described Oborevwori as “Delta’s golden governor” whose life of service stands as a bold example for individuals and groups to pursue impact over personal aggrandisement.
Citing Proverbs 22:1, the Uvwie chairman said a good name is better than great riches, noting that the governor’s visible good works are proof of his decision to lead with impact and earn a good name for himself and his family.
“For the peace, prosperity, and progress of the state, reflected in the meaningful development and legacy projects God has used Governor Sheriff to execute across the state, we are most grateful,” Ofoni said.
He thanked God for preserving the governor’s life and granting him sound health, praying for longevity, elevation, and happiness as Oborevwori continues in service to humanity.
Chief Ofoni, speaking on behalf of Uvwie LGA, lauded the governor’s transformative projects in the council area, stating that both indigenes and non-indigenes are “strong admirers” of his leadership style. He assured the governor of continued love, prayers, and support from Uvwie people.
The council boss highlighted Oborevwori’s impact beyond roads and bridges, pointing to significant improvements in education and health, and noting that public servants continue to praise the governor for meeting expectations.
“The most amazing part is that our governor keeps working day in and out to upgrade the state and improve the quality of life of Deltans,” Ofoni added.
He described himself as a “dedicated disciple” of the governor, patterning his leadership style after Oborevwori’s example. He also urged Deltans to back the governor for a second term and support APC candidates, calling it a “befitting birthday gift” alongside prayers and compliance with the law.
“May your unbroken success continue to inspire us as we follow in your footsteps. Congratulations, Your Excellency,” Ofoni said on behalf of his family and the people of Uvwie LGA.
