The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Dr Emmanuel Sideso JP OON, Abe I, has received the new Uvwie Area Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Aliyu Shaba, in a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening security and peace in the area.
The Ovie of Uvwie commended ACP Shaba’s commitment to peace and security during his tenure as DPO of Ekpan Division, promising to support him in sustaining it.
The Uvwie monarch, however, expressed dismay that the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun removed Enerhen Division from Uvwie Kingdom’s jurisdiction and appealed for its return.
For his part , ACP Aliyu Shaba pledged to carry out his duties lawfully and diligently, expressing gratitude for the kingdom’s contribution to his success.
Uvwie Local Government Chairman Olorogun Anthony Ofoni and other community leaders welcomed the establishment of an Area Command in Uvwie, promising to support ACP Shaba.
They also called on the inspector general of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun
to bring back Enerhen Division to Uvwie Area Command .
Uvwie Kingdom has been recorded as one of the most peaceful kingdoms in Delta State.
