The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government , Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has been bestowed with an Award of Special Recognition by the Delta State Hospitals Management Board, Bomadi Medical Zone, for his dedication to rural health care development.
The award, presented by the Chief Medical Director of General Hospital, Bomadi, Dr Festus Enike, recognizes Andaye’s people-centered style of governance and his administration’s medical interventions and innovations in the Bomadi General Hospital and primary health centers across the local government area.
Dr Enike commended Andaye for his incredible support for the health sector, including elderly people’s medical outreach and infrastructural upgrades of primary health centers in the riverine Bomadi.
Andaye expressed gratitude and promised to redouble his efforts in 2026 to make healthcare facilities more accessible to the people, stating that “health is wealth”.
