The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has attributed the relative peace and security currently enjoyed across the council area to sustained unity, inter agency cooperation, and operational synergy among all security formations operating within the LGA.
Speaking during a security engagement with heads of security agencies at the chairman’s Lodge, Ogwashi Uku ,Monday December 16,2025, pastor chukwunwike emphasized that effective security management thrives on collaboration, intelligence sharing, and coordinated responses, rather than isolated efforts. He commended the professionalism and commitment of the security operatives, noting that their collective resolve has significantly strengthened the local security architecture.
Hon. Chukwunwike appealed to commanders and heads of security agencies to further reinforce security coverage within their respective jurisdictions, particularly as the festivities sets in. He stressed the need for enhanced inter operability, networking, and real time communication among agencies to proactively deter crime and respond swiftly to emerging threats.
As part of proactive measures to consolidate the gains recorded so far, the Chairman presented modern walkie talkie communication gadgets to security operatives across the LGA. The equipment, he explained, is aimed at improving command and control, field communication, and rapid coordination during patrols and joint operations throughout the festive period.
He further charged local vigilante groups to maintain visible patrols and strategic presence across communities, describing the show of force as a preventive security strategy designed to reassure residents and signal heightened surveillance to potential offenders.
In addition to the communication equipment, Hon. Chukwunwike also provided logistical support to enhance the operational effectiveness and mobility of the security personnel, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
The initiative underscores the Chairman’s people centered approach to security governance and his determination to ensure a peaceful, safe, and secure yuletide celebration for residents of Aniocha South Local Government Area.
