SAPELE, DELTA STATE – Hon. Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni JP, Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, joined prominent figures including Chief Solomon Ighrakpata for the inauguration of the OSU Federal Constituency Political Forum, Sapele Chapter, held on February 1, 2026.
This event marks a significant step for the political structure that evolved from the forum inaugurated on April 4, 2025.
Chairman Ofoni commended his Sapele counterpart, Hon. Chief Bright Abeke, for successfully mobilizing a large crowd, reflecting the political forum’s growing influence as the nation approaches the 2027 general elections.

He congratulated Chairman Abeke for his appointment as the coordinator of the Sapele chapter and expressed confidence in the new executives’ ability to promote the achievements of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In his address, Chief Ighrakpata, Chairman of Delta State Internal Revenue Services, highlighted the significant turnout and emphasized the forum’s role in unifying diverse political interests in support of good governance.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the OSU Political Forum to back both President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori come 2027.
The inauguration ceremony attracted notable attendees, including Sen. Ede Dafinone, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, and other prominent local and state officials, solidifying the forum’s credibility as a formidable political entity.
As the event closed, plans were announced for similar gatherings in Okpe and Uvwie Local Government Areas to further strengthen the OSU Political Forum’s grassroots presence.
