The Concerned Itsekiris For Ale Iwere (CIFA) reject in totality the INEC proposed Ward delineation in Warri Federal Constituency, faulting the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) implementation of the supreme Court Order as fraudulent and biased.
The group, in its general Congress held on Sunday 20th April 2025 emphasized that the Warri Federal Constituency is home to the Itsekiri ethnic nationality who are also the majority domiciled therein, stressing that the proposed INEC delineation is an attempt to legalize illegality, and it has the tendency of reigniting Crisis in the entire Constituency.
The group led by his Chairman Comrade Oritsejubemi Onuwaje said it’s important to note that the itsekiri people are law abiding and respect the rule of law pointing to the fact that there are a number of courts Judgements which INEC must also take into cognisance in the implementation of the Ward Delineation, as not to do so will amount to hiding behind the supreme Court to perpetuate illegality.
The group therefore faults the proposed illegal & bias ward delineation by INEC and call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all other relevant authorities to call INEC to order to do what she is supposed to do in the interest of equity, justice and fair play. Anything short of this will not be acceptable to the Itsekiri ethnicity.
