Esenaebe Community Development Association, the body managing the affairs of Esenaebe community in Bomadi local government area of Delta State, has inaugurated a new executive to pilot affairs of the community for the next two years.

The old executive, which was returned unopposed, was inaugurated Tuesday by election observers from the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, Asaba, the state capital.

Inaugurating the executive, Mr Ekpo Friday Ufuoma, deputy director community development department of the ministry, said their main purpose of visit was to observe the election and report back to the ministry.

“You know, there is a law in Delta State, signed in 2021, which makes it compulsory for every community to register with the state government. The law also states that, at any time of their elections, representatives of the ministry will be there to observe the processes.

“This is to curb the prevalent crises in rural communities arising from community election matters. The essence of our presence here is to observe and maintain peace and harmony among community folk.

“As for the election, the process is peaceful and smooth, as the previous executive has been returned unopposed which is a sign that the exco is working in cooperation with the members.

“I’m using this medium to pass this information to other communities yet to register with the ministry to do so without delay”, Mr Ufuoma said.

In his address, the President General of Esenaebe Community Development Association, Chief Romeo Bozimo, thanked all members for the trust reposed in the executive by returning them unopposed and promised to run an inclusive administration.

He also thanked the ministry of Women Affairs, Community and Social Development for sending observers to monitor their community election.

However, the executive comprised Chief Romeo Bozimo as President General, Comrade Tito Eniekezimene (Deputy President), Chief Eseru Matthew Adu (Secretary General), Chief Bakpo S.A. (Asst Sec. General) and Mr Younbai Francis as treasurer.

Others include Mr Akpos Odiowei (Spokesman), Mr Mubougha Shell (PRO), Mr David Edoro (Protocol Officer), Mrs Amasomor-ere Kuroasain (Woman Leader), Mr Ebis Demateide ((Youth President), Mr Bariki Awolowo (Revenue Task Force Officer), Barr Gesikeme Akebofa (Legal Adviser) and Chief Biribiri Dude” as Political Adviser.
