Foremost Urhobo socio- political group, Urhobo Peoples Integrity Organization ( UPIO) has endorsed Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ( BAT) and other All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates for the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was made in a statement issued by the following members of the group who included: Olorogun Ebenezer Okorodudu ( National President) , Dr Sam Efetobor ( 1st Vice National President) , Chief Simon Asite ( National Financial Secretary) Christian Avbarefe ( National Assistant Secretary) , Chief Westham Adehor, Chief Akpojotor Adjarho, Roland Eferhio , Onajite Omawunmi and Elohor Uwhobe shortly after their general monthly in Ekpan Uvwie Local Government Area on Sunday 13th September, 2026.
The statement explained that UPIO ‘ s endorsement for Governor Oborevwori, President Tinubu and other APC candidates was necessitated by need for Governor Oborevwori and the APC to continue with their good works in Urhobo Nation, Delta State and Nigeria.
The statement hailed the Ukoko R’ Ivie Urhobo (Association Of Urhobo Traditional Rulers ) for adopting Governor Oborevwori as their sole candidate for the Delta State 2027 governorship election.’ They ( Urhobo traditional rulers ) are our royal fathers. They took a decision that is good for the Urhobo Nation.
‘So the entire Urhobo people should support the decision of our royal fathers.
They know what is good for the Urhobos ‘ the statement added.
