Flood:Ede Dafinone Presents Relief materials to IDP’s Camps in Ughelli South

All Progressives Congress , APC Delta Central Senatorial Candidate , Chief Ede Dafinone has called on the Federal and State Governments to Prepare a long Term Plan that will cushion the effects of flood on Victims .

Chief Dafinone was speaking while Presenting Relief Materials to internally Displaced Persons (IDP’s) in Life City Camp in Ewu , and other neighbouring communities , Ughelli South local Government Area of Delta State .

Chief Ede Dafinone noted that the food items will be consumed in a matter of days , stressing that what the people need now is for the Federal and State Governments to provide seedlings and farming tools for the victims inorder for them to survive the devastating effects of the flood after it recedes.

The Philanthropist called on the Federal Government , National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA , Delta State Emergency Management Agency , SEMA and other relevant agencies to Speed -up emergency Operations to the flood victims of over 46 communities in Ughelli North and South local government Areas in Delta Central senatorial District that are currently flooded with families displaced ,goods and properties worth millions of Naira destroyed.

According to him , I wish to commiserate with all of you in this camp my heart is with you at this trying moment this food items when it is finished you people will need to feed after the flood so I am calling on the federal and state governments to provide farming tools and seedlings so that you people can start farming again”

 

 

The Delta Central senatorial Hopeful, However thanked God that the flood has began to recede in some parts of Ughelli South local government area.

Chief Ede later met with the President Generals of Ophorigbala, Umolo, Oguname, Aloba, Okpe Olomu, Agbon communities amongst others in Ovwor -Olomu where he also presented Relief Materials to them for onward delivery to their people as their communities could not be accessed by vehicles .

Items presented by the APC Delta Central Senatorial candidate , Chief Ede Dafinone include Bags of Rice , Bags of Garri, cartoons of Noodles , Cans Of Palm Oil amongst others .

In their separate response Life City camp commandant, Mrs Jane Odogwu ,President General of Ewu kingdom Professor Arthur Ekpekpo, President General of Ewu-Otor Sir John Ebireri and some of the displaced Persons thanked the APC Delta Central senatorial candidate for the gesture and prayed God to make him succeed as the next Senator to represent the Constituency .

Chief Dafinone was accompanied on the visit by the Director General Ede Dafinone Campaign organisation, Chief Adelabu Bodjor and other teeming supporters.
