Final year Nursing students from Warri, Eku and Agbor on Tuesday staged a protest at Asaba, to draw the attention of the Delta State Government over alleged nefarious act by the Director of School of nursing .
The students disclosed to Actual News that the Director of School of Nursing and the three principals of the schools connived and ate their registration money .
They said only 22 students are expected to write the final National Nursing Council Examination out of the over 300 students in final year.
They further disclosed that the Director Registered only 16 students in the school of Nursing Eku, 6 in Warri and none in Agbor after paying N98 ,000 each through the Director of Delta State School of Nursing for the National Nursing Council Examination and another N15,000 for CBT training.
“They did not register us the Director and the three principals ate our money”
According to some of the students the Director Mrs. Gloria Igumbor, threatened to expel any student who protest against the development.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Health Dr. Mordi Onoye has assured the protesting students that the state government will look into the matter and take necessary action .
