OGBUDUGBUDU National Council under the leadership of the interim National President, Mr Divine Bekederemo Inor has vehemently rejected plans to install a parallel Agadagba – elect other than renowned legal icon, Napoleon Egin .

A statement by Mr Divine Bekederemo Inor contained the Reaction to news item circulating in the social media purportedly authorized by Mr. Ariri Ebikefe .

The statement cautioned that the installation of a parallel Traditional ruler may destabalize Egbema Kingdom and indeed Warri North Local Government Area .

The statement knocked Mr Ariri Ebikefe for discrediting the President of The Leadership of Egbema Communities Peace Development And Humanitarian Rights Association, ECPDHRA, Comrade Mike Tiemo over his take on Egbema Kingship matter.

” We would ordinarily not respond to statement credited to a youth who is in his early 30s but given the sensitivity of the matter we are constrained to respond “ the statement added.

The statement made it clear that the Egbema kingship matter was exclusively for elders and gazetted chiefs and not for youth like Mr. Ariri Ebikefe.

“The Agadagba-elect was duly nominated by the Amaokosuwei and Chiefs of Ogbudugbudu Ruling House as one of the qualified nominees to ascend the ancient stool.

The documents are there to see.” Mr. Ariri Ebikefe who has earlier congratulated Barr. Napoleon Egin as the Agadagba-elect lack the moral authority to criticize the process of his emergence.

” Mr. Edmund Doya Tiemo has no right to interfere with the choice of the Elders of Ogbudugbudu Ruling house.

” The world need to know that during the reign of the last King who was the blood brother of Mr. Edmund Tiemo, Ogbudugbudu Ruling house did not interfere with the decision of elders of his Polobubor community ” statement also added.

The statement strongly advised Egbema Leaders of Thought to stay clear from interfering with the decision of Egbema kingmakers ” which has been acknowledged and accepted in writing by elders and Chiefs of Ogbudugbudu Ruling House. “

The statement noted that it was out of place for a youth president not to respect the decision of persons that were old enough to be his father and grandfather on such an important traditional matter .

” Mr. Ariri Ebikefe has no authority to speak on behalf of the people of Ogbudugbudu on kingship matters.

We therefore urge the general public to disregard his statements on the kingship matter.”

The statement maintained that vast majority of the people of Egbema have since moved on with the proclamation of Barr. Napoleon Sekegbekumor Egin as the Agadagba-elect of Egbema Kingdom with the exception of a handful persons whose opinions are not important on the matter.

Ogbudugbudu National Councill also in the statement pledged to continue to work with the elders and Chiefs of Ogbudugbudu
” We call on aggrieved persons to embrace peace in the overall interest of Egbema Kingdom. “

Ogbudugbudu National Council then congratulated Barrister Napoleon Egin on his emergence as the Agadagba – elect of Egbema Kingdom
