The immediate past Provost of College of Education ( COE) Warri, Dr ( Olorogun) Dickson Onovwakpoma Oyovwi (JP) has remarked that Professor Sam Oyovbaire is an icon leader.
He made the remark in an exclusive media interaction with our correspondent during the reception of the 85th years birthday anniversary of the highly esteemed chief of Okpe Kingdom in his ( Oyovbaire) country home of Opuraja Okpe Local Government Area on Tuesday 4th August, 2026.
Oyovwi also remarked that Professor Sam Oyovbaire has impacted positively on Deltans politically, socio- economically and In other human endeavors right from the military era.
Oyovwi further described the Okakuro ( chief) of Okpe Kingdom as resourceful and a father figure to all Deltans in respective of political, ethnical and religious inclinations. ” This was probably why in recognition of this fact, His Excellency Rt ( Elder ) Hon Sheriff Oborevwori in his wisdom appointed him as the Chairman, Advisory and Peace Building Council Delta State.”
Dr ( Olorogun) Dickson Onovwakpoma Oyovwi JP then prayed for a more fruitful years for the former Minister of Information during the military administration of former Military President Major General Ibrahim Babangida ( rtd)
