A member of Advisory and Peace Building Council Delta State, High Chief Abovi Hope Erute has called for the investigation of the attack on a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Oborevwori on Protocol, Comrade Temple Mudi.
Erute who is a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) made the call in a media interaction with our correspondent in Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area last weekend.
He noted that to cause bodily harm on the said Governor Oborevwori ‘ s aide was barbaric and therefore condemnable.
Erute however stressed that Governor Oborevwori and that the APC should not be dragged into the matter as he noted that the incident was not a party affair. ” Culprits should be brought to book and dealt with according to law. They should not go scot free.
” The APC Delta Central meeting was very successful. We have left the venue of the meeting and the meeting ended peacefully. We were surprised when we had of the barbaric incident” he added.
The respected white breaded high chief of Uvwie Kingdom who is also the President General of Uvwie General Improvement Union (UGIU), therefore admonished that the ugly incident should not be used to blackmail the APC, Delta Central Senatorial District.
