…Says Gov Oborevwori in the big league of national political leadership
The robust relationship between President Bola Tinubu and the governor of Delta State, Dr (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori, JP, will continue to attract multifaceted dividends of democracy to all Deltans, as well as upscale the socioeconomic and infrastructure development of the state.
Director General, Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, gave the assurance in a live radio public affairs programme on Tuesday, assuring that the visit of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Mrs Olufemi Tinubu, will attract intense federal presence for the benefit of the state and for all Deltans.
He noted that governor Oborevwori is now in the big league of national political leadership, a deliberate political bridge building meant to attract more development and Advance Delta beyond 2027, during the governor to keep the flag flying.
The Bureau Chief said good politics and visionary political craftsmanship is about networking across board, and that governor Oborevwori knows his onions in all ramifications which includes; respect for constituted authorities, uncommon humility, intergovernmental diplomacy, building quality friendships, and Advancing Delta through pragmatic leadership and strategic utilization of the principles of constitutional democracy.
Dr Fred Oghenesivbe who is also the Public Relations Executive of the Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, said the good governance strides of governor Oborevwori has upscaled the reputation and image of the state, such that local and international investors now have the absolute confidence to invest heavily in Delta State, the 4th largest economy in Nigeria.
He assured that the visit of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Mrs Olufemi Tinubu to the State shall attract more federal projects and socioeconomic development, to complement the good governance strides of governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who is daily working round the clock to fulfill his electioneering campaign promises to the people as encapsulated in the MORE Agenda.
“Governor Oborevwori is determined to upgrade Delta from the 4th to 1st largest economy in Nigeria, through multifaceted good governance strategies anchored on realistic reforms, economic remodelling, prudent management of state resources, accountability and transparency.
“He’s focused on achieving his set out goals for Delta, as can be seen from his result oriented political bridge building across board, and that include his robust relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governors across the country, irrespective of political affiliation.
“The economic remodelling of Nigeria by Mr President is already flowing down like milk and honey to Delta in multifaceted dimensions. Governor Oborevwori will continue to leverage on the state robust economy to advance Delta till May 29, 2031.
“Just yesterday, Mr President graciously delegated governor Oborevwori to represent him at the Flag-Off ceremony of the phase 2A Access road of the Niger Bridge, revealing good politics anchored on patriotism, progressive reasoning and pragmatic leadership.
“It is crystal clear that the visit of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Mrs Olufemi Tinubu to Delta State, shall attract more federal presence in terms of infrastructure and socioeconomic development. This is good for Delta,” Oghenesivbe said
