The Ovie of Uvwie kingdom Abe the first has commended his subjects for their continued support to the peace process in the Kingdom.
The Uvwie Monarch made the remark at his palace at Effurun GRA in Uvwie local Government Area ,Delta State while installing the New Unuevworo of Uvwie, Chief Hope Akasa who will assist him in his drive to make his domain more peaceful.
Addressing his people, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Abe the First Urged the people of Uvwie to continue to respect constituted authority and explained that the Unuevworo of Uvwie, Chief Hope Akasa was a replacement for the late Unuevworo, Late Chief Ambrose Ulogho.
The monarch disclosed that the position is rotational and urged the people to support Chief Akasa who is next to him in the administration of the Kingdom.
He charged the new Unuevworo to use his office wisely in sustaining the peace in his domain.
Speaking, Chief Akasa pledged to support the peace process initiated by the Uvwie Traditional Ruler which has attracted development to the kingdom.
” I will continue to support our Monarch to ensure that peace is sustain in the kingdom “he said .
Some Chiefs including Chief Roy said they will support the New Unuevworo of Uvwie kingdom to enable him carryout his duties diligently and charged him to continue with the enduring peace initiative of the Uvwie Monarch.
Uvwie traditional dancers entertained the Uvwie Monarch, Chiefs and other guests at the event.
