A man has been arraigned before High Court 4, Warri, Delta Stste for allegedly stabbing his fiancee, Habibatu Aruwa, a final year law student of University of Port Harcourt to death in Warri.
The suspect, Adedamola Oyewole was arraigned before High Court 4 Warri in suit number DTHC/ WRR / Crime / 2026 by the Commissioner of Police, Delta State on Thursday 30th July, 2026 .
In a motion of ex parte in pursuant to section 158, 159, and 163 of the administration of criminal justice law, 2022 and under the inherent jurisdiction of the said court, the Commissioner of Police, Delta State sort the following from the court an order remanding the suspect at the Nigerian Correctional Service, Okere, Warri, pending the outcome of the legal opinion from the office of the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Delta State; an order directing the registrar of the court to within three working days forward the certified true copy of duplicate copies of the original case file already served on the court to the office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Delta State for legal opinion; and such order or any order (s) as the court may deem fit to make on the circumstance.
The presiding judge of High Court 4 Warri, Honourable Justice V O Agboje granted the motion and the case was fixed for hearing on 14th October, 2026.
