The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Jude Chukwunwike has identified unity, peace, and inter-religious tolerance as essential drivers of stability, development, and national integration.
He stated this while celebrating with Muslim faithful in Aniocha South during the Sallah festivities, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Accompanied by the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon Leonard Nzemeke the Council Secretary, Hon. Prince Tony K Ebube and other aides, the council boss visited the popular Hausa Market in Ogwashi-Uku, where he distributed food items to members of the Muslim community.
Hon. Chukwunwike assured the Muslim faithful of his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, the promotion of inter-religious harmony, and sustained peace-building initiatives aimed at strengthening unity, security, and national coexistence.

He commended the Muslim community in Aniocha South for their cooperation and urged them to continue supporting the administration’s determined efforts to combat insecurity across the local government.
While wishing them a joyous Sallah celebration and a prosperous season, he encouraged the faithful to uphold the teachings of Prophet Muhammad as a guiding principle beyond the festivities.
The Arewa community leader in Aniocha South, Moseq Muhammad Bello, expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as timely and a demonstration of responsive and inclusive leadership.
He further appealed to the council chairman to continue to carry the Muslim community along in the framework of participatory governance.
