The President General of Uvwie General Improvement Union ( UGIU) High Chief Abovi Hope Erute has appealed to the Delta State Government for the construction of the Effurun Area Command Road in the Uvwie community of Ohorie, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State.
Erute who doubles as the Isirerha of Etche R’ Alegbo ( traditional administrative unit) made the appeal in a media chat on the recent ground breaking ceremony with our correspondent at his office along Petroleum Training Institute ( PTI) on Monday 6th July, 2026.
The highly esteemed white breaded Uvwie chief, reasoned that the construction of the earth road will add to the state government ‘ s efforts in curbing crime in the area.
Erute noted the turnout of Uvwie people was overwhelming and that its shows that they are interested in the security of the area. ” They are indeed encouraged by the reality of the establishment of the Effurun Police Area Command” he added
He lauded HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1 the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, the cross section of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Kingsley Emakpo Orere Igbi 11 the of Agbarha Warri Kingdom, Commissioner of Police ( CP ) Delta State , Yemi John Oyeniyi, Effurun Police Area Commander Assistant Commissioner of Police ( ACP) Aliu Shaba, the Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council Chief Hon Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, the Chairman Board of Internal Revenue Delta State Chief Hon Solomon Okporua Ighrakpata and corporate organizations for the huge success of the the ground breaking ceremony
