…advises all decampees to resign party position appointments

The colleague of leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ethiope East Local Government Area, on Thursday unanimously passed vote of confidence on the state governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, and endorsed him for 2027 governorship election.
The landmark resolution signed by the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, Higher Education Commissioner, Prof Nyerovwo Tonukari, State Director of Protocol, Rt Hon Sunny Akpodiogaga Emeyese, Chief Sunday Onoriode, LGA PDP Leader, Chief Bernard Edewor, Dr Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, and all other leaders in the LGA, described governor Oborevwori as a visionary leader who, since assumption of office, focused on mega infrastructural projects, unprecedented empowerment and socioeconomic remodelling of policies and programmes that is already yielding positive results.
The leaders noted that Delta State is witnessing unprecedented economic growth, enhanced peace and security under the governor, coupled with his prudent management of state resources while advancing Delta in monumemtal dimensions.
The college of leaders urged PDP party faithfuls, and the ever increasing supporters of governor Oborevwori to intensity their support and loyalty, while wishing all decampees the very best of luck as they journey into the unknown, and resolved as follows;
“That the Ethiope East Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party is 100% in support of His Excellency Rt Hon sheriff F O Oborevwori, The Executive Governor of Delta State.
“That the Ethiope East Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party is United,peaceful and unperturbed with recent developments.
“That the Ethiope East Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party is aware of the few people who recently defected and wish them well.
“That the Ethiope East Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has directed the Chairman of the Party in the Local Government Hon Iboyitete Midwest to set up a disciplinary committee to look into all those who are involved in anti Party activities.
“The Ethiope East Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party also directed the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ethiope East Hon Iboyitete Midwest to set up a three man advisory committee to advise the leadership of the Party in the Local Government going forward.
“That Those who decamped and until their defection were holding any position in the Party or an appointment,are advised to resign with immediate effect and if otherwise,the Ward Chairmen of the 11 Wards are to effect their replacements immediately.
“That since the creation of the Ethiope Federal Constituency which comprises Ethiope East and Ethiope West Local Government,the Ethiope West Local Government has produced the Representative of the Federal House of Representatives for a record 20 years;Hon Halima Ochuko Agoda 1999-2011(Three Terms of 12years),Hon Ben Igbakpa 2019-2023(One Term of 4years),Hon Eriatake Ibori Suenu(2023-incumbent).
“While Ethiope East local Government which is the largest and most populous among the Two Local Government of the Federal Constituency has only produced just two Representatives; Hon Barr Akpodiogaga Sunny Emeyese 2011-2015 (One Term of 4years) and Hon Barr Loveth Idisi 2015-2019(One Term of 4years) which all together is eight (8) As such, Ethiope East Local Government has decided unanimously that come 2027, the Member representing the Federal Constituency must be from Ethiope East Local Government, for Equity and fairness sake.
“That the Leadership of the Party in Ethiope East Local Government now Passed a Vote of Confidence on His Excellency Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Orohwedo Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State,for his great and laudable achievements in the Last 18 months as Governor of our Dear State and for his second term bid in 2027.
“That the Leadership of the Party in Ethiope East Local Government will continue to ensure that Ethiope East remain a PDP Stronghold in The State.
“This resolution is signed by;
-Rt Hon Olorogun Barr Arthur Akpowowo, Deputy Speaker Delta State House of Assembly, Honorable Commissioner For Higher Education, Chief Onoriode Sunday, Delta State Director of Protocol, and Hon Chief Augustine Usinefe Ogedegbe,Executive Chairman Ethiope East Local Government.
Other prominent leaders who signed the resolution and vote of confidence on governor Oborevwori, include; Chief Bernard Ighosotu Edewor, PDP Leader Ethiope East Local Government, Hon Iboyitete Midwest,Chairman PDP Ethiope East. All LGA Leaders Present, All LGA Excos.All Ward Chaimen and all Ward Leaders.
The leaders also resolved to sustain the supremacy of PDP in Ethiope East LGA, remain united, peaceful and result oriented as we navigate into another era of political activities in the State.
