The Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni JP, and Chairman of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, attended the 70th birthday ceremony and book launch of Chief Victor Otomiewo (Esq )the Unuevworo of Etche r’ Oriokpor and former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Delta State.
The event, held in Uvwie LGA, featured the launch of Otomiewo’s biography titled _“The True Life Story of an Illustrious, Worth, Legal Icon of the Niger Delta.”_ The book chronicles his career and tenure as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, as well as the history and culture of the Uvwie people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Ighrakpata described Otomiewo as “still waxing stronger in strength and purpose” after seven decades. He praised the celebrant’s contribution to knowledge and heritage preservation, recommending the book to anyone seeking insight into the Uvwie kingdom and its people.
Chairman Ofoni described Otomiewo as “unrepentantly a proud son of the Uvwie kingdom” whose education and contributions continue to inspire younger generations.
He called the biography a “cultural bible” of the Uvwie people and commended Otomiewo for documenting his life story to advance the development of the area through knowledge.
“By launching his biography on his 70th birthday, Chief Otomiewo has demonstrated that there’s no limit for the mind ready to stretch beyond limits,” Ofoni said.
He wished the celebrant increased strength, wisdom, grace and joy.
The ceremony was attended by traditional rulers, chiefs, top government functionaries and business leaders, reflecting Otomiewo’s influence in Uvwie, Delta State and the Niger Delta.
Both Ofoni and Ighrakpata jointly congratulated Otomiewo on the dual milestone, wishing him more years of impact as he continues to work for the good of Uvwie LGA, Delta State, the Niger Delta and Nigeria.
