An Effurun inter city commercial transport car in one of the motor parks in Effurun Roundabout carted away goods worth several millions of naira belonging to Ozoro bound passengers.
The bizarre incident allegedly occured during a check of the vehicle particulars of the said car by Vehicle Inspection Officers ( VIO) on Ughelli / Asaba Road at Ozoro in the afternoon of Monday 17th March, 2025.
A female passenger was said to have lost smoke fish worth over 500 thousand naira .
While a male passenger lost his brand new laptops worth millions of naira in the process.

He was said to have explained that he did not waybill the laptops for the fear getting them damage in the process.
Also student passengers in the ill-fated vehicle lost their provisions and documents to the suspected hoodlum of a driver.

One of the victim of the bizarre incident, Mr Divine Ologide a 200 level student of Delta State University Ozoro narrated that the VIO officials stopped the driver of the car for a check of his vehicle particulars and also asked passengers of the car to come down from the car in the process.

Ologide further narrated that no sooner than the unsuspecting passengers obeyed the instruction of the VIO officials than the driver of the commercial transport car zoomed off in a speed of lighting with goods of the passengers in the presence of the VIO officials.

Our source painfully stated that attempts to chase the speedy commercial transport car were unsuccessful.
