Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has described former Commissioner for Special Duties, Pastor Champion Kpateghe, as an invaluable asset to the Oghara kingdom, the Urhobo nation, and Delta State.
The Governor’s tribute was delivered on Tuesday during a grand reception in Enerhen to celebrate Pastor Kpateghe’s 70th birthday.
Governor Oborevwori Represented by the Executive Director of Projects (EDP) at DESOPADEC, Chief Ebenezer Okorodudu, lauded the celebrant’s extensive contributions to regional development.
He noted that Kpateghe’s career including his tenure as Chairman of the Governing Council for the Institute of Continuing Education has been defined by a commitment to human capital.
Governor Oborevwori added that Pastor Kpateghe has touched many lives positively.
The Governor , urged the celebrant’s children to emulate their father’s exemplary life of service to humanity.

The ceremony was filled with emotional tributes from family and associates including sir James Okoh , Chief Monica Otorho, Mr Peter Obrotu amongst others .

Mrs.Ruth Kpateghe, alongside her children and friends, expressed deep gratitude to God for the milestone.
Responding to the accolades, an elated Pastor Kpateghe thanked God for his health and pledged to dedicate his remaining years to philanthropy and community service.
Pastor Kpateghe thanked his wife Mrs Ruth Kpateghe specially for standing by him for over 40 years , stressing that she has been a strong pillar and great support to him and the family.
He also thanked the state Governor Rt hon sheriff Oborevwori for his show of love to the family and for attracting more development to the state.
