Dr. Akpo Mudiaga Odje, a Warri based Constitutional Lawyer and Facilitator, Niger Delta Democratic Union (NDDU) has recently described the Minister of Aviation, Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN as one of the best performing ministers in this President Tinubu’s administration in the country.

Speaking to our correspondent in his office at Warri, Dr. Akpo Mudiaga Odje said,

“No doubt, the Minister of Aviation, Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN can be described as one of the best performing ministers in this President Tinubu’s administration. The actions taken so far in the aviation industry by the cerebral minister must be sincerely commended and comprehensively encouraged by all and sundry regardless of party affiliations. Indeed, for some time now, there has been growing concerns and serious apprehension on the safety of our airspace reminiscent of when our aircrafts were labeled Traveling Coffins in the Abacha military regime.”

Speaking further, Dr. Akpo however described the safety of our aircrafts as paramount to all users saying,

“It’s axiomatic that life has no duplicate and as such, our airspace must guarantee our safety at all times. Consequently, the issue as to whether the minister had the power to suspend the operations of DANA airline over safety concerns cannot be impeached either in fact or in law because he possesses the above dualistic powers to do so. It’s for public safety and national interest. In addendum, the minister acted on credible report and recommendation at his behest. And which strangely his predecessor in abnegation failed to do in his time.” He said.

The Constitutional Lawyer again called on President Bola Tinubu to protect Air Peace airline from intimidation by foreign airlines and their cohorts in the country. He therefore appreciated the CEO of the airline company, Mr. Allen Onyeama for his unmatched patriotic efforts on the Air Peace phenomenal flights to London at the most reasonable rates for Nigerians.

According to Dr. Akpo Mudiaga Odje, he said it was very necessary as not all operators have the considerate disposition in conducting their own airline businesses as Air Peace. He again commended the Minister of Aviation, Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN for having the courage to implement the Bilateral Agreement that opened the vista and frontier for Air Peace to cruise into London, notwithstanding the stringent conditions put in place by the British imperialistic pasturing in that regard.

Dr. Odje however noted that if, God forbids, any air mishap happens, the minister would be blamed and held responsible for not acting as he has rightly and timeously done with the DANA Air issue.
