Ahead of the 2023 General Elections a People’s Democratic Party ,PDP Pressure Group Known as PDP Ward to Ward Uvwie Chapter has assured the Member Representing Uvwie Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon.(Chief) Solomon Ighrakpata that the group will canvass votes for all PDP candidates in order for them to win the Election .
The PDP Ward to Ward group led by its Coordinator Hon( Chief )Roy Grant Oke gave the assurance on Saturday during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Chief Whip, Delta State House of Assembly,Hon (Chief)Solomon Ighrakpata at his country home in Effurun ,Uvwie local Government Area of Delta State
Hon.( Chief) Roy Grant Oke, stated that the purpose of the visit was to introduce themselves to Hon(Chief)Solomon Ighrakpata and assure him that the Group Will deliver all PDP candidates in the 2023 elections .
Hon Oke said the PDP Ward to Ward group in Uvwie will canvass votes for the party’s Presidential Candidate , Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Governorship Candidate Rt Hon Francis Sheriff Oborevwori , the Delta Central Senatorial candidate Chief Ighoyota Amori, the House of Representative candidate for Okpe Sapele and Uvwie federal Constituency Hon Evelyn Oboro and the candidate of Uvwie Constituency in the state House of Assembly Hon (chief) Solomon Ighrakpata.
The coordinator PDP ward to ward Uvwie chapter Hon (Chief) Oke stated that the 2023 election would be different from other elections as it will be unit to unit driven election.
” The election that is coming will be different from others that is why we shall canvass for votes from one unit to another, we must win our units ,We shall deliver 5 over 5 in the forth coming election” he said.
He said the only way the people of Uvwie can appreciate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is to ensure that Rt Hon Oborevwori becomes the next Governor of Delta State. .
Also speaking the Deputy Coordinator of the group Chief Edmond Ofudje and the Organizing secretary
Mr Collins Ighrakpata promised that they would canvass votes for all PDP candidates and urged the people of Uvwie to vote for PDP inorder to continue to enjoy the dividends of Democracy in the Area.
For his part the PDP candidate of Uvwie Constituency in the state House of Assembly Hon (chief) Solomon Ighrakpata while welcoming PDP ward to ward members said he has confidence in the group following the Calibre of Seasoned Politicians in the group.
The Delta state House of Assembly Deputy chief Whip advised the group to canvass votes for all PDP candidates and avoid selecting who among the candidates to vote for as such attempt would be dangerous for the party.
Hon (Chief) Solomon Ighrakpata disclosed that the All Progressives Congress APC does not have anything to Campaign with in Delta State as it’s Governorship Candidate attracted development to his community more than other parts of Delta Central .
” APC Government has caused more harm to Nigerians and the economy , they don’t have anything on ground to campaign with ” he stated .
Hon( Chief ) Ighrakpata noted that the PDP Governorship candidate, Rt.Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori is very qualify to become the next Governor , stressing that he has attracted development to his Constituency as speaker of the Delta state House of Assembly and would do more when elected as Governor of Delta State .
He charged the members of PDP Ward to Ward group to embark on grassroot campaign for the party to be victorious come 2023 election .
The PDP Uvwie Local Government Area Chairman Hon. Elder Efe Okoledo advised members of the PDP Ward to ward group to inject new Politicians into positions inorder to strengthen the Group.
