It was a bloody Christmas eve in Ekpan in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State as a clash between rival youth groups claimed uncertain number of persons in the area in the late night of Saturday, December 24, 2022.
The cause of the hostility was not immediately known, but it was however gathered that both groups belonged to two different youth leadership in the community.
Initial report has it that five residents lost their lives in the shootout.
One of the victims is a petty trader who traded for the youths who were celebrating the Christmas eve in an all night parties.
The Police Public Relations Officer
( PPRO ) , Delta State Police Command in Asaba, DSP Bright Edafe, who was contacted for confirmation of the incident, stated that only two persons were confirmed dead in the incident.
