Residents of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State are to benefit from a 2-day free medical outreach under the “Zero Malaria Gbaramatu” initiative starting August 27.

The outreach is being organized by the Rotary Club of Maple Grove, Minnesota USA, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Plantation City Otokutu and the Tompolo Foundation Health Care Facility.
A statement announcing the programme said the initiative by Rotary International Global Grant will provide free medical services across all communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom on Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Old Palace, Oporoza.

According to the statement Beneficiaries will receive Free education on malaria prevention and treatment , Free mosquito nets, malaria testing and medication.
Also the beneficiaries Wil receive Free eye glasses and comprehensive eye checks,Free blood pressure and blood sugar tests .

The Organizers said the 2-day exercise is the kickoff of a 1-year programme.
According to the organisers Health workers will also embark on door-to-door visits in communities across the kingdom to provide continuous treatment and prevention services.
The partners urged residents to come out with their families to access the free services.

The campaign carries the slogan: “Zero Malaria! Healthy Gbaramatu! Healthy Delta!”
The collaboration is aimed at reducing the burden of malaria and other preventable health conditions in the riverine communities while promoting long-term health and wellness in the kingdom.
