Environment for Journalists In Delta State
Delta State Peoples Democratic Party,PDP Governorship Candidate Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has lauded Journalists in the state for
propagating the programmes and Policies of Delta state Government under the leadership of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
Oborevwori made the statement while briefing Members of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists,NUJ Delta State Council at NUJ Press Center Asaba , Delta State .
Oborevwori Urges Journalists to use their Pen and PVCs as powerful tools to assist in electing him as the next Governor.
He appealed to the Journalists to Help in publicizing M.O.R.E Agenda by explaining the potential dividends to the electorates across all quarters in Delta State.
” Use your PVC to vote for me and indeed all PDP candidates from the presidency, to the Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly.
Oborevwori said with His MORE Agenda he will sustain the successful Okowa’s Stronger Delta agenda, which has given rise to outstanding achievements in physical and human capital development across all parts of the state .
He added that Irrespective of social status, religion and tribe he will be fair, just and accessible to all, whether Urhobo, Anioma, Itsekiri, Ijaw or Isoko as well as non -indigenes in the State.
“I will serve as governor for all Deltans. I have the capacity and experience to make Delta proud and do more for the present and future generations”He said
The Governorship Hopeful said he is detribalized, accountable and sure-footed.
“I come with selfless passion and patriotism to serve. I have done extremely well as speaker of Delta state House of Assembly with the collaboration of my colleagues” he added.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalits NUJ Delta State Council , Comrade Michael Ikeogwu commended the speaker of the Delta state House of Assembly and PDP Delta State Candidate Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for attending the Media briefing and assured him that Journalists in the state would continue to propagate Government policies and Programmes .
