The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his appointment as Director, Finance and Treasurer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council.
Andaye, who is also Deputy National Chairman, South, of the Progressives Local Government Council Chairmen Forum of Nigeria and Secretary of the Delta State Chapter of ALGON, described the appointment by President Bola Tinubu as a demonstration of the Governor’s visionary leadership and political relevance.
In a statement issued in Bomadi, the Council Boss, Hon Andaye said the appointment into the sensitive position reflects Governor Oborevwori’s rising profile of integrity and inclusive leadership, which has again placed Delta on the national radar.
According to him, the Governor’s inclusion in the APC Presidential Campaign Council is timely, coming at a period when the party needs trusted leaders to prosecute the re-election bid of President Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
“Andaye noted that the Governor has distinguished himself as a leader who prioritizes the greater good of Deltans through the provision of critical infrastructure across the three senatorial districts, creation of an enabling environment for investments, and attention to human capital development and security, without recourse to internal or external borrowing.
He said these achievements were added credentials that justified the Governor’s appointment as Director Finance and Treasurer of the APC Presidential Campaign Council by President Tinubu.
The Bomadi Council Chairman expressed confidence that Governor Oborevwori would excel in the new role, given his track record in the prudent utilization and allocation of public resources in Delta State.
“On behalf of the government, leaders and peace-loving people of Bomadi Local Government Council, I heartily celebrate the appointment of our father and leader, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, on his well-deserved appointment by President Bola Tinubu as Director of Finance and Treasurer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council,” he said.
“This is further demonstration of His Excellency’s prudent allocation and utilization of resources in the execution of projects and programmes across the State.
“I am more than optimistic that Governor Oborevwori will deliver on his new position in such a manner that it will bring pride to all Deltans and the entire APC at the national and state level.
