The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and the delivery of democratic dividends to all communities in the area.
In his 2026 Democracy Day message on Thursday, Andaye said his government will continue to strengthen democratic institutions and prioritize the welfare and security of citizens to improve living standards across Bomadi LGA.
He described June 12 as a celebration of the grit and sacrifice of pro-democracy activists who entrenched good governance and democratic ideals in Nigeria.
According to him, the labour of those who fought for justice, fairness and equity will not be in vain.
The Council Chairman urged residents to respect constituted authority and pursue a collective vision of progress and unity.
He assured that his administration’s policies are firmly rooted in respect for human dignity in all ramifications.
Andaye commended reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and praised Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for translating the MORE Agenda into unprecedented transformation in infrastructure and human capital development. He said the governor’s policies have also created a level playing field for LGAs to execute people-centred projects that directly impact communities.
He lauded Bomadi people for remaining law-abiding despite security challenges and economic hardship nationwide, noting that their endurance reflects abiding faith in democracy as the best form of government.
As the 2027 general elections approach, Andaye urged citizens of voting age to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise and obtain their Permanent Voters Cards to exercise their franchise.
He wished the people of Bomadi a happy Democracy Day celebration and prayed for a more prosperous time ahead.
