Abe 1 Lauds Igbos For Ndidi Choice Of Ohanaeze Ndigbo DCSSDs President

HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1 the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom has lauded members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Delta Central And South Senatorial Districts ( DCCSSDS) for their choice of Chief Ambassador Aminu Joel Ndidi ( JP) as their president.

The Uvwie monarch made the commendation in his key note address during the group’ s a courtesy visit to him at the ultra modern palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom GRA Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Friday 31st January, 2025.

The traditional ruler remarked that the Anioma born new president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo DCSSDs is a committed, discipline and humbly personality and that he was given a chieftaincy in Uvwie Kingdom because of these stealing qualities.

” He ( Chief Aminu Joel Ndidi) is one of us here in Uvwie Kingdom” Abe 1 added .

While congratulating Chief Aminu on his emergence as the new president of Ndigbo DCSSDs , the traditional ruler charged him to be a good ambassador of Uvwie Kingdom in the discharge of duties in his new position.

The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom noted that the event was a celebration of unity and love between Uvwie people and Igbos in his kingdom and therefore declared that it was historic.

The Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Delta Central And South Senatorial Districts, Dr Ogbonnaya Igwe had earlier in his speech informed that there was a new development in the group that led to emergence of the Ika born Uvwie chief as the president of the group.

He therefore explained that the coutersy call was aimed at introducing Chief Ndidi as the new president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo DCSSDs and also to seek for the royal blessings of the traditional ruler.

A distinguished member of the group, a former Vice President of the group in the area and a Senior Special Assistant (; SSA)to Governor Oborevwori on Non indigenes Affairs , Nze Francis Onuara who spoke at the historic event , stated that the Igbos are peaceful in anywhere they are ,mostly to their host. 

He therefore pledged the Igbos in Delta Central And South Senatorial Districts loyalty and support for Abe 1.

While appreciating the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom for the red carpet reception accorded to members of the group, he remarked that the traditional ruler is highly caring and respected royal father.

Another Igbo personality , Arch – Bishop Okechukwu disclosed that he has stayed in Uvwie Kingdom for over 57 years just as he remarked that the emergence of Abe 1 has positively transformed Uvwie Kingdom.

He then prayed for a more long and prosperous years for Abe I.

The new president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo DCSSDs Chief Ndidi who spoke at the event, thanked the traditional ruler for his kind remarks just as he stated that his emergence was a call to serve .

He promised to be a good ambassador to Uvwie Kingdom and also operates an open door policy in his administration.

Chief Aminu Joel Ndidi however solicited for the support of members of the group to enable him carry out his good agenda for them.

High point of the event was a toast for the unity and love between Uvwie people and Igbos in Uvwie Kingdom, moved by Nze Francis Onuara with a champagne provided by the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom.

Other members of the group on the entourage of Chief Aminu Joel Ndidi included: Chief Ifeanyi Obunseli -Deputy President ,Prince Iruka Odunukwe -Vice President (Anambra) , Chief Barrister Oliver Eze-Vice President (Enugu), Chief Augustine Okwunwa -Vice President (Imo), Chief Mrs Ohaeri(Deputy Women Leader), among Ohanaeze Chieftains, representatives of youths wing.
