The Seriki ( leader) of Arewa people in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Alhaji Suleiman Jauro has praised and appreciated HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso ( JP) OON Abe 1 the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, the Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council Chief Hon Anthony Onoriode Ofoni and the Chairman Board of Internal Revenue Delta State, Chief Hon Solomon Okporua Ighrakpata for their show of love for Muslims in the local government area.
Jauro who is a respected Muslim faithful made the appreciated in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent shortly after the 2025 Eid – el – fitri prayers at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) , Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on the Sunday 29th March, 2025.

Jauro gladly noted that the trio have always identified with Muslims and also carried Muslims along at all times, mostly during celebrations. ” Umogu ( Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom) , the Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council Chief Hon Anthony Ofoni, the Chairman Board of Internal Revenue Chief Solomon Ighrakpata have always carried us ( Muslims) along.
” They have always showed love to us and never discriminated against us .
” This is one of the tenets of Islamic religion
” That is why we see Uvwie as our home .

The Imam of PTI Salisu Suleiman an engineer,had earlier officiated the Eid – el – fitri prayer session with hundreds of Islamic adherents in attendance.
This was immediate followed by entertainment of fellow Muslims and non Muslims by some of the celebrants at homes
