Bomadi LGA football team will battle Isoko South LGA in the last Delta South group qualifiers match of the ongoing Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr Unification Cup 2026 on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
The knockout fixture, billed for 4pm at the football pitch, Osubi Airport, Okpe LGA, will decide which team advances from the Delta South zone.
Bomadi enters the encounter in sparkling form. The team overran Patani LGA 4-2 in the opening match before walloping Burutu 2-0 to reach this final qualifying stage.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Head Coach Okiki Musampa said his players are “fully prepared, focused, and determined” to deliver for Bomadi. He assured supporters that the team will play with commitment, discipline and the fighting spirit the LGA is known for.
“By God’s grace, my team will put up a good performance with a positive result that will make our people proud,” Musampa said.
The coach urged all Bomadians to rally behind the team as they represent the local government and seek to bring honour to their fatherland.
He also commended Executive Chairman, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, for his “tremendous support and encouragement” to the players and technical crew.
According to Musampa, Andaye’s commitment to the welfare of the team has boosted the players’ confidence. “The Chairman’s belief in the team has inspired us to strive for excellence.
We are determined to repay that confidence with hard work, discipline and positive results on the field,” he added.
On behalf of the players and coaching crew, Musampa assured Andaye and Bomadi people that the team will continue to give its very best in the match.
