The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, on Sunday attended a Business Empowerment Programme organised by Dr. Tony C. Adigwe for small-scale business owners at the Ogwashi-Uku Event Centre.
The initiative, aimed at stimulating grassroots economic growth, featured the presentation of cash grants to randomly selected entrepreneurs to support the expansion and sustainability of their enterprises.

Speaking at the event, Chukwunwike reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between public-spirited individuals and government in advancing economic empowerment and improving citizens’ livelihoods.
He commended Dr. Adigwe for his generosity and unwavering commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and promoting sustainable economic development across Aniocha South.
According to the Chairman, empowering local businesses remains a catalyst for job creation, wealth generation and inclusive community development.

The programme attracted several distinguished leaders and stakeholders including former Minister of the Federal Republic, Chief Dr. Chris Agbobu; Member representing Aniocha South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Isaac Anwuzia; former Commissioner for Arts and Culture, Hon. Engr. Lawrence Ejiofor; and former Council Transition Committee Chairman, Hon. Chief Joe Adigwe.
Others present were the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Aniocha South, Pastor Norbert Akachukwu Sochukwudinma; and the Executive Director, ICT, Delta State Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Collins Iwebunor, alongside other prominent personalities from across the LGA.
Beneficiaries of the grants applauded the intervention, describing it as a commendable effort to strengthen small businesses, encourage entrepreneurship and foster sustainable economic prosperity within Aniocha South.
