The All Progressives Congress, APC, Candidate for Bomadi/Patani Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Basil Okolobaowei Ganagana, has lauded the Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, for what he described as pivotal leadership in his emergence as the party’s candidate.
Rt Hon. Ganagana made the commendation on Saturday, 18th July, 2026, during a thank-you visit to the Chairman’s private residence in Ughelli, Delta State.
He led a high-powered delegation that included Rt. Hon. Timi Tonye, Executive Director, Corporate Services, South South Development Commission, SSDC, and APC chieftain from Patani LGA, alongside other party leaders and stakeholders.
Speaking during the visit, Ganagana said the delegation came to express appreciation for Hon. Andaye’s unwavering commitment, invaluable support and sacrifices before, during and after the party’s electoral process.
He described the Council Chairman’s political acumen, resilience and mobilisation capacity as instrumental to his emergence as the APC candidate and to the party’s overall success in the constituency.
In recognition of his leadership and service, Ganagana conferred on Hon. Andaye the revered title “ANDA-OLOTU of the Ijaw Nation,” describing him as a dependable political leader whose influence continues to inspire confidence, strengthen party cohesion and advance the aspirations of the Ijaw nation.
Also speaking, Rt. Hon. Timi Tonye applauded Andaye for his humility and dedication to party unity.
He noted that the Chairman’s ability to harmonise diverse interests and strengthen grassroots structures has been key to the APC’s growing stability and electoral success in Bomadi/Patani.
Mrs. Alaere Odisi also commended the Council Chairman for his political maturity and selfless contributions to the party’s growth, saying his inclusive approach and strategic engagements contributed significantly to the APC’s success during the electoral process.
The visiting leaders unanimously reaffirmed their resolve to sustain unity and work towards greater victories in future elections.
Responding, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye expressed appreciation to Ganagana, Tonye, Odisi and the entire delegation for the honour. He described the recognition as a tribute to the collective efforts of committed APC members and assured of his continued commitment to promoting party unity, expanding grassroots mobilisation and providing purposeful leadership across Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency and Delta State.
