Court Verdict Attests To Oborevwori’s Sound Academic Achievements – PDP Spokesperson

…Says Sheriff influenced his career in Delta Politics 2007.

Spokesperson of Delta State Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has said that the recent Federal High Court Judgement in favour of Delta PDP governorship candidate, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, completely nullified all negative speculations, media propaganda and lies about his academic certificates and alleged discrepancies in date of birth.

Oghenesivbe made the assertion during a live public affairs radio programme monitored in Asaba on Monday, saying that lack of disclaimer by West Africa Examination Council and the testimonies of officials of Ambrose Ali University and Delta State University, confirming that Oborevwori graduated and was issued degree certificates, has put paid to all mischievous falsehood and media propaganda orchestrated by political detractors and agents of opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.

He said the presiding Judge delivered a sound judgment touching on all grey areas, wherein it was held that Oborevwori’s academic certificates, more particularly the Second Class Upper Division Degree in Political Science and the Master Degree in Political Science, as well as other professional certificates obtained from other credible institutions of higher learning; far exceeded the requirements stipulated in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended, for those aspiring for the office of Governor of any state in Nigeria.

The PDP campaign spokesperson and Executive Assistant on Communications to Delta State Governor, posited that the Court also held that the Affidavit correcting the date of birth on the WAEC certificate was valid and wasn’t deposed to in contemplation of the 2023 governorship election or any other election for that matter, adding that credible evidence about that Oborevwori was born in 1963, as attached to all documents and processes.

“The Court also resolved that the Deed Pool streamlining the names of Oborevwori is valid and legal, as Plaintiff failed to prove his case beyond reasonable doubt as required in criminal jurisdiction, amounting to waste of precious time and valuable resources. The Court held that it cannot rewind time to 2018 to examine Form CF001, because it has been statute barred, dead and buried, as the Court lacked jurisdiction to resurrect the matter.

“The judge cleared Oborevwori of any wrong doing or criminal act because valid evidence abound that he’s a Nigerian Citizen, born in 1963, well above 35 years old, holds higher academic certificates and therefore eminently qualified to aspire to the office of Governor of Delta State,” Oghenesivbe said.

On his long standing relationship with the Delta PDP governorship candidate, Dr Latimore Oghenesivbe, revealed that his political career in the state was influenced by Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, in 2007, saying that his unwavering support for Oborevwori is unconditional, steadfast, cordial and shall remain so for many years to come, by the grace of God.

He recall how Sheriff Oborevwori was generous to him and some other students way back in college about 43 years ago, adding that the Delta PDP governorship candidate was born with a golden spoon in his mouth, and has consistently demonstrated his philanthropic personality way back in college as a young man, pointing out that Sheriff will do well as governor and Leader of Delta PDP family.

Oghenesivbe, who is the Leader of Sheriffied Delta Media Group and a Distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management, D.CIISM, disclosed that Oborevwori, it was, who at his Osubi residence in May 2007, urged him to combine business with politics, to enable him contribute meaningfully to the development of the state and his communities in Agbon Kingdom, noting that his achievements so far in media politics and strategic political communication was directly facilitated by the Ukodo of Okpe Kingdom, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.

“I knew Sheriff Oborevwori about 43 years ago in College and outside of politics. Our friendship will always go beyond the realm of political association and partisan politice, for the fact that politics was never the basis of our over four decades robust relationship and rewarding friendship.

“Oborevwori is intellectually sound as can be seen from his unique academic background and certificates. The Courts recognized his sound educational background and solid academic certificates, which has obviously put to an end the multifaceted media propaganda and bunch of lies calculated to tarnish his unblemished and enviable personality and overall academic achievements.

“I have known Sheriff for over 43 years and I dare say that he’s a kind hearted and trustworthy individual who will never default in fulfilling promises. He’s upright to a fault and very blunt, doesn’t drink alcohol and proactive in dealing with issues.

“Above all, Oborevwori is a good Christian, an ordained elder in Living Faith Church aka Winners, a superlative husband, a proud father, grandfather and a Pan Deltan. He’s such a warm individual, a team player and a great Patriot.

“I can tell you for free that Oborevwori will fulfil all electioneering campaign promises as encapsulated in his Meaning Development, Opportunity for all Deltans, Realistic Reforms and Enhanced peace and security, M.O.R.E manifesto, anchored on transparency, accountability, honesty and good governance.

“Come Saturday 18th March, PDP and Oborevwori shall win the governorship election with a wide margin, because Deltans and Delta Youth are united for his victory,” Oghenesivbe assured.
