The Supervisory Councillor For Environment, Hon Okorodiden A Femi has urged residents of Warri South Local Government Area to cooperate with the Executive Chairman of Warri South Local Government Council , Hon Isaac Weyinmi Agbateyiniro to make Warri a cleaner local government area.
Hon Femi made the call in a media interaction with newsmen during the last Delta State monthly environment sanitation exercise in Warri.
He proudly stated that the local government council boss was working on the MORE Agenda on environmental sanitation as he scored his principal high so far on the exercise in Warri South Local Government Area.
He warned that the Warri South Local Government Council Chairman has a zero tolerance for a dirty environment. Hon Femi therefore admonitioned that residents should not wait for the state environmental sanitation exercise day before clearing their environment.
He disclosed that offenders of the local government council environmental laws will be prosecuted according to law.
The Deputy Leader of Warri South Local Government Council Legislative Arm, Hon Egbe who also spoke during the media chat, called on residents to participate more in subsequent environmental sanitation exercise as he stated that a clean environment is a boost to one’ s health.
Meanwhile Hon Okorodiden Femi led a crack team of the Deputy Leader Warri South Local Government Council Legislative Arm, Hon Emmanuel Egbe, Comrade Okpaghoro Omatseye, Comrade Joy Efekoha , Hon Toju Right, Head of Department ( HOD ) Health Warri South Local Government Council , Mrs Stella Mode, among others in monitoring and supervising the exercise in Warri South Local Government Area.
They were at the Warri Garage Area , Iyara, all the markets in the local government Area, including Robinson Plaza along Deco Road, Ubeji Community and a particular compound in Ukpokiti Street where the hardworking Supervisory Councillor for Environment Warri South Local Government Council inspected the blocked drainage in Ukpokiti Street that linked Bowen Avenue.
He promised to present the issue of the said block drainage to his principal for further action.
