As the Delta State House of Assembly wraps up its legislative session for 2024, the Speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor has expressed appreciation to those who contributed in no small measure to the successes recorded by the House in the outgoing year.

Rt Hon Guwor in his remarks at the close of plenary on Tuesday, acknowledged the support, resilience and commitment of Honourable Members, the management team and the entire staff of the Assembly all through the year.

The Speaker also commended the Press for the visibility to the activities of the House in 2024, even as he look ahead for more collaboration.

Rt Hon Guwor wished all and sundry merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance.

A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Nkem Nwaeke, moments after the plenary, the Speaker also extended his gratitude to Deltans for their support in the outgoing year 2024.

Urging all to keep hope alive and unity of the people intact, Guwor said “it can only get better as the state government led by Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is irrevocably committed to the successful implementation of its MORE agenda”.

“As we come to the end of our legislative session for 2024, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one whose tireless efforts and dedication to our collective mission made it a success.

“Together as Legislators, we passed legislation that benefits our citizens and promotes the development of our state”, Guwor stated.

Continuing he said, “As we celebrate the Christmas season and look forward to the New Year, I urge you all to take time to rest, recharge, and reflect on the true spirit of the season.

“Let us remember the values of love, kindness, and compassion that bring us together as a people. Let us strive to be beacons of hope and inspiration to those around us.

“To our constituents, I want to assure you that we will continue to work tirelessly to address your concerns, promote your welfare, and ensure that our state remains a place of opportunity and prosperity for all.

Once again, thank you for your hard work, commitment, and support. May the joy, peace, and blessings of the Christmas season be with all of us and our loved ones, and may the New Year bring us all greater prosperity, happiness, and fulfillment”, the Speaker added.
