The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, says gratitude from beneficiaries of government projects motivates leaders to deliver greater service to the people.

Chukwunwike spoke on Monday, June 1, 2026, when he received a delegation from Isheagu Kingdom led by oil industry stakeholder, Dr. Larry Ossai, at the Chairman’s Lodge, Ogwashi-Uku.
The delegation included the Councillor representing Isheagu Kingdom and Deputy Leader of the Aniocha South Legislative Arm, Hon. Omah David Ashikodi.

The chairman said community appreciation of developmental projects strengthens the resolve of leaders to pursue more achievements. He added that government thrives on mutual trust, cooperation, and appreciation between leaders and the people.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equitable development across Aniocha South, assuring residents of continued delivery of impactful projects and programmes until the end of his tenure.
Chukwunwike stressed that sustainable development is a collective responsibility and urged communities to engage with government and contribute ideas for the common good.
Earlier, Dr. Ossai said the visit was to express gratitude to the council chairman for completing the Isheagu Agro Commodity Market located along the Kwale–Ogwashi-Uku Highway.
He described the project as transformative, noting that the market is positioned to stimulate commerce, expand agricultural trade, create employment, and unlock economic opportunities for Isheagu and the wider Nsukwa Clan.
According to him, the facility will serve as a driver of rural economic growth with multiplier effects on neighbouring communities.
Ossai commended Chukwunwike for responsive and people-oriented leadership, stating that the market project reflects the administration’s commitment to grassroots development.
The meeting featured an interactive session where the chairman and his guests exchanged ideas on accelerating development in the local government area.
