Olorogun Godwin Okporoko has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his award as Governor of the Year by Thisday Newspaper and Arise Television.
Olorogun Okporoko in his congratulatory message said the award from the reputable media organisation to Governor Oborevwori is a recognition of his unequal achievements within nineteen months in office.
He said the exemplary commitment of Governor Oborevwori to the Enhanced Peace and Security Agenda has started paying off as Delta State has now become a home for investors.
Olorogun Okporoko stated Governor Oborevwori ‘s master stroke in road construction and strict adherence to maintaining standards and quality, made him stand out among his colleagues.
He listed some of the road infrastructure undertaken by Governor Oborevwori to include the Trans-Warri Road, Ughelli-Asaba dual carriageway, and the three flyover bridges and road projects at PTI Junction, DSC Roundabout, and Enerhen Junction in the twin cities of Warri and Effurun.
He explained that, as part efforts to cushion the effect of the economic downturn in the country, Governor Oborevwori has empowered over 250,000 persons with cash and starter packs, under the aegis of Delta CARES programme as well as disbursement of financial grants to over 2,000 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs, in the state to grow their businesses.
He noted that Governor within nineteen months in office the governor has touch virtually all parts of the state through his developmental projects.
Olorogun Okporoko who noted that, Governor Oborevwori deserved more of such awards and congratulated for the well deserved Award .
