Hon Matthew Omonade presenting cash to a beneficiary

The member Representing Ughelli North constituency one in Delta state house of Assembly Hon Matthew Omonade has empowered 0ne thousand one hundred and fifty market women and artisans with Twenty three million naira cash grants

Our Correspondent Reports that Hon Omonade kicked off the flagoff of cash grants to his constituents at Ovara-umusu Orogun community in Ughelli North local Government Area of Delta State.

Hon Matthew Omonade said one of his
responsibilities to his constituents is to utilize every resources at his disposal to improve their lives .

The lawmaker disclosed he decided to give one thousand ,one hundred and fifty market women and artisans the sum of twenty thousand naira cash to boost their businesses and improve their livelihood after he discovered that most of them were trading with less than ten thousand naira as capital .

Hon Omonade added that he is elated disbursing the sum of 23 million naira as grants to members of his constituents instead of buying cars or traveling abroad with the money .

Hon Omonade while presenting the cash grants to the beneficiaries said the gesture was in fulfilment of his electioneering campaign to members of his constituency .

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress ,APC, Chief Ominimi Obiuwevbi,the Chairman of APC in Ughelli North, Hon. Obakpororo Onoabedje, Hon Friday Onojaye amongst others commended Hon Matthew Omonade for the gesture,saying apart from Hon Omonade and the former Deputy Senate President,Senator Ovie Omo-Agege no other Elected lawmaker has dole out funds as grants to assist members of the constituency.

They urged the constituents to give Hon Omonade the necessary support he needed to represent them properly.

The beneficiaries of the cash grant expressed joy and gratitude to the lawmaker for keeping his campaign promises

They assured Hon Omonade that they would use the grant wisely to boost their businesses .
