Rotarian Ekaette Fadairo has been installed as President of the Rotary Club of Uvwie Renaissance for the 2026/2027 Rotary Year, pledging to execute projects that will “Create Lasting Impact” in Uvwie Community.
Speaking at an in-house handover ceremony, Rotarian Fadairo said she was honoured to accept the responsibility despite initially resisting the club’s plan to make her President. She promised to serve with “gallantry, passion, integrity, and dedication.”
The new President noted that the club is transitioning from the “Unite for Good” Rotary Year to the “Create Lasting Impact” Year. She said she would build on the foundation laid by her predecessor and Charter President, Rtn. Anthony Umukoro, to make the club more impactful to indigents in Uvwie.

Outlining her agenda, Rtn. Fadairo said the club will focus on supporting local communities. Planned initiatives include providing maternity kits to expectant indigent women in Uvwie, supplying hospital beds and mattresses to primary health institutions within Uvwie, and creating sustainable access to potable drinking water through manual pump boreholes in strategic locations.
According to her, the club will also collaborate with the local government to engage Rotarians and friends in routine monthly environmental sanitation exercises.
Rtn. Fadairo, however, noted that the 19-member club cannot achieve these goals alone. “I need the support of all my friends, families, acquaintances, and allies to be able to achieve these projects,” she said. “With your little contributions and support in the 2026/2027 Rotary year, we would undertake projects that will create Lasting Impact.”
She invited the public to join the club’s service drive and thanked members for the opportunity, urging them to make the year impactful.
Earlier, the Charter and outgoing President, Rotarian Anthony Umukoro, thanked members of the club, which was chartered a year ago, for their contributions to humanity and the speedy growth of the club.
He pledged to continue supporting the new President to ensure the club creates more impact in the community.

Outgoing President
Rtn. Umukoro also commended members for their dedication, resources, and time sacrificed to make the club great, and urged them to extend the same support to the new President.
Also speaking, the Project Chairman of the club, Past Assistant District Governor Suala Yeri, and a Past President, Rotarian Charles Alaukwu congratulated the new President and urged her to carry everyone along during her tenure.
They pledged their support for her to succeed in the 2026/2027 Rotary year.
For his part, the husband of the new President, Engr. James Fadairo, pledged the family’s support throughout her tenure as President of the club.
