The District Governor Rotary Club International District 9141, Rotarian MightyMan Aye Dikuro has commended Rotary Club Of Ogunu for providing Water to traders at Ugbuwangue Market, in Warri South local Government Area Of Delta State
Rotarian Dikuro made the Commendation while inaugurating a Borehole water project executed by Rotary Club Of Ogunu .
The traders at Ugbuwanguwe Market were happy over the donation of the Borehole water to them .
Inaugurating the Water Project Rotarian Dikuro said the provision of the portable water to the traders is a laudable project and urged them to maintain the Borehole for it to serve the purpose .
Rotarian Dikuro informed the Traders and Ugbuwanguwe Community leaders that Rotarians are group of people that come together to serve Humanity with their resources .
He however invited the Traders and community leaders to join Rotary and be among those that will be contributing positively to humanity .
“If you want to go to Heaven you need to join Rotary club because God is using Rotarians to Answer the prayers of people just as the traders have been praying that Someone or Government should provide water for them” he said
Earlier the President of Rotary Club of Ogunu, Rotarian Michael Odili disclosed that representatives of the club had visited Ugbuwangue Market to ascertain their need and found out that there was no potable water in the market .
Rotarian Odili said the provision of potable water was one of Rotary’s seven Areas of focus under the Water, Sanitation and hygiene Project.
He urged the Traders to make good use of the project inorder to attract more from the club.
Rotarian Odili added that the donation of the Borehole water project was to compliment the Delta State Government efforts in providing social amenities for Residents of the State .
Also speaking the project chairman Rotarian Osas Omokha thanked all members of Rotary club for their contributions to the provision of the Borehole water project and appealed to the District Governor Rotarian MightyMan Dikuro to assist the club to secure Grant from Rotary club international to enable the club execute a Star Project .
The Representative of the Olaraja of Ugbuwangue , Mr Johnson Ogbe , A representative of the chairman of Warri South local Government Mr Sunny Bodor and the market Deputy Chairperson maintenance and disciplinary Committee, Mrs Mercy French commended Rotary Club Of Ogunu for the provision of the water Project.
They urged Rotary club to monitor the project inorder to assist the market committee to maintain it if the need arises .
The Traders also thanked Rotary Club of Ogunu for the gesture saying that it would relieve them from spending money to purchase water .
