Rotary club of Effurun has installed Rotarian Stephen Layefa Aribogha a lawyer as the 42nd President.
The installation ceremony was held at Great Hall Chevron Recreational Centre, warri South local Government Area of Delta state.
The installation ceremony held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, attracted Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, Past District Governors, Assistant Governors, Presidents of sister clubs, and friends of Rotary.
Shortly after his installation as President,Rtn Aribogha thanked the club members for the trust reposed in him and pledged not to disappoint them .
He urged Members of the club to continue to provide selfless services to their mandated communities and to be a force for good in the world .

Rotarian Aribogha revealed that” this Rotary year we will strengthen our mentoring, create clearer pathways for committee involvement and celebrate the diverse talents within our club.we will invest in leadership development training, coaching and opportunities to lead small, projects that build confidence and teamwork ” he stated.

President Rotary club of Effurun
The newly installed President Rotarian Stephen Layefa Aribogha stated that he is committed to sustaining the club’s existing Projects which include maintaining of the club’s tree planting projects within Ekpan to protect the environment, Adult literacy Programme at Alegbor secondary school and free Polio immunization within Mami and other areas .
He added that the club during the 2026/2027 Rotary year will embark on provision of delivery kits to expectant mothers,provision of 100 tables and chairs to pupils , revamping of Toilets with sewage channels,100,000 interest free micro credit loans to 10 beneficiaries,Exam fee scholarships to 20 students amongst others.
He appealed to Rotarians,friends of the club and good spirited Nigerians to support the club in the execution of the projects .

Earlier the outgone President, Rotarian Elvis Irefo thanked members the support he got during his tenure, urging them to give more support to the newly installed President Rotarian Stephen Layefa Aribogha.
He pledged to be by the new President as the immediate Past President of the club .

In her welcome address, Chairperson of the Installation Ceremony, Rtn. Agatha Anagaba, described the occasion as historic and a reaffirmation of Rotary’s commitment to service.
“Your presence here today is deeply appreciated. It reflects the spirit of fellowship, friendship, and commitment to serve that Rotary represents,” she said.

Rtn. Anagaba noted that the event marked not only a transition in leadership but also a renewal of Rotary’s ideals under this year’s theme, _“Create Lasting Impact.”_
She commended the Planning Committee, club members, sponsors, donors, and volunteers for their dedication in making the event successful.
The Installation Chair also appreciated the outgoing President and Board for their leadership and achievements, saying their service had laid a solid foundation for the club.
Turning to the new President, she said: “To our incoming President, Rtn. Stephen Aribogha, congratulations on this well deserved honor. We have every confidence that your leadership, vision, and passion for service will guide the Rotary Club of Effurun to greater heights.”
The Guest speaker, An assistant District Governor, Rotarian Emmanuel Estano who was the Guest speaker spoke on the topic ” the power of one” urged Rotarians to continue to unite and serve humanity.
The event featured Inauguration of Rotary club of Effurun Board of Directors, cutting of installation cake amongst others.
